the Artist

Tobi Balin Grossman is a landscape artist for whose passion for
studying nature is as natural as breathing. She is an experienced
artist and teacher. Currently, Ms. Grossman is working in both acrylics
and pastels. Her studio is in an historic mansion in downtown Wilkes-Barre,
Pennsylvania. She is part of a group of artists who reside in what
is called “Arts Youniverse.” This studio space is part
of an exciting new organization especially designed for artists
in the downtown area.
Ms Grossman has had numerous one person and two-three person shows.
The most recent show’s theme was based on a pleine aire trip
through the Southwest. After returning from her trip, she was invited
to display a painting that she completed in Great Sand Dunes National
Park’s Visitor Centers, where her painting was viewed by thousands
of people over a five month period. She has been included in many
national juried shows and has won numerous awards.
Her paintings are represented by William Ris Studios in Stone Harbor,
New Jersey, where she is currently having a show and her work is
part of many private art collections, including the permanent collection
of College Misericordia, Dallas, Pennsylvania.
